After struggling for over a year with my spontaneous decision to chop off my hair last summer, I have finally grown it out long enough to add a few clip-in hair extensions when I please. I tried  to use them as soon as I made the big chop, but alas, my hair was too short for it to blend in with the extensions.

I have finally reached the perfect “below-mid-collarbone” length to blend. I am using the same hair extensions as I did back in college, and let me just say they never disappoint. These have been the most reliable extensions I have come across that are 100% guaranteed not to damage or ruin your hair. They are also extremely cost effective over any of the weaves, fusions, or tape-ins. You can do anything you want to them – blow dry, curl, flat iron. I love them.

They also make the growing-out process a little more bearable. Nothing wrong with a little instant gratification here and there!

What is your beauty favorite?

Speaking of…is anyone else ready for Fall?! I know I am! Just to name a few of my fall favs (aside from my obvious boot and sweater obsession), Oktoberfest, pumpkin carving, PSL & salted caramel hot chocolates, hay-rides, fall at the arboretum, the Texas State Fair, the Greek Food Festival, my best friend Natalie’s wedding!!, and of course Halloween.

Brace yourselves…Pumpkin flavored everything is coming…

What’s your fall fav you can’t wait for?

Skirts always manage to make me feel like I’m back in high school again. Why? Because I went to Catholic school where we wore uniforms every single day. Oh, how I miss that little plaid skirt paired with those rockin’ knee highs. If you ever wondered why I became a style blogger, well now you know. It was my awesome way of rebelling.

I was not raised Catholic, but it sure gave me a wonderful education and opened my eyes to many different cultures. My favorite class was always orchestra. I played the cello, and it was always fun to start the day off with a little music. It was especially entertaining having a really great group of kids to play with, most of whom were my friends. Too bad getting old requires you to make a decision to either surrender your instrument or make it your life. I really miss playing with a little ensemble. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that’s how most things are nowadays. Regardless, I’ll pull out my cello out every now and again, and it always makes me smile.

It’s funny how a piece of clothing can give you a little nostalgia here and there. Sometimes the nostalgia can be not so awesome, but I try to embrace the memories as much as I can. Speaking of…I definitely kept my high school blazer too. I love that it will forever be in style. I still wear that thing occasionally! Maybe I’ll have to pull it out for a later post…thoughts?

A POP OF NAVY

nude

Just a little inspiration to start off your weekend right! You might think that navy is solely a fall/winter color, but in fact it can just as well be a spring/summer color. Pairing a pop of navy with neutrals can really add some interest to your summer-goddess look.

The best part of investing in navy? It can always carry into the fall/winter seasons with ease. Go invest in your something navy while the sales are still here…you’ll thank yourself later. :)

Have a great weekend!
